You guys were right. The interior color of my '91 GT is not Linen. There is an '89 S4 for sale here in So Flo with a Linen interior. After speaking with the owner, he invited me to come down and compare. The Linen has more of a cream color to it.
So now I will be looking at the light shades of grey. I really want to nail this down so that I can do my interior touch up.
By the way, the new stainless steel RMB that I installed last weekend sounds great.

I wish I knew what to tell you. I think it's either light grey or silver grey. Porsche prefers to use colors that they already have (or had in past model years), so the two above colors are the next ones I would look into.

Funny thing: I bought a carpet set a few years ago convinced that my interior was champagne. What arrived was not what I thought it would be-
I contemplated sending it back...but it really looked better, so I installed the "champagne" and pulled the "grey beighe" that my car was built with. Later I had the leather interior re-tanned to match the carpet.
The butteater that owned my car before me [may he die a horrid screaming death that involves flames, giant homosexual serpants of enournous dentation, and copious amounts of fecal matter~] unfortunately for me decided to repaint the whole car a slightly different color after a minor traffic collision. Officially it is black...but then again... I am officially straight. The reality is that the car is what I call "motor oil brown metallic" for lack of a real color name-
