Anybody see the Cayenne Commercial during the NCAA Tourney yesterday???

It's gonna open some non-shark eyes (rather, EARS!)

Sounded great - A new BWAAAAHHH Factor!

Back in the developing stages I signed up at the Porsche web site to track what was going on with the Cayenne. When they had it all done they sent out a promotional packet with a video. It has some of what is in the commercials and on the web site, but it also has a whole bunch more. I can say that after I watch the video, I was wishing I had a spare 100k to pick up a turbo. All I can say is WOW!

You guys should hit the cayenne website at Porsche.com. The have a virtual drive of the Cayenne Turbo. That things sounds so sweet. No need for a tuner - I could listen to that engine all day and all night. Man - porsche life is good!

Really?
All the experts (sic) just expressing opinions with little or no info have been lambasting the Cayenne -there are a few exceptions- on the Renn. Cayenne site for months.
Someday actual owners will take over the forum.

All I can say is that I sat in a Cayenne S and really liked the way they made the interior (the demo car was dark blue with two tone grey interior). I don't think I will ever be crazy about the exterior - especially the Turbo - but I have no doubt the mechanics are superior over anything else that calls itself SUV. Now, if they could get a decent gas mileage...

The 928 was critizised over gas consumption and size, but the Cayenne is bigger and guzzles even more. The turbo gets about 10mpg - I wonder how many miles you can get before the next fillup is due.

Nevertheless, I believe the Cayenne will be a success for Porsche and hopefully make them enough money so they can tackle a new 928 in the future. Too bad they have lost their courage when it comes to exterior design.
