Afterburner-32

I added the Afterburner 32 to my 85 last year and I'm very pleased with it. It's certainly louder than my factory system but not so loud that the cops and local rodders are chasing me down. Noise level is slightly noticable with windows up and with windows down ... well who cares because at speed the wind and tire noise cause me to turn up the stereo anyway. Of the things I done with my car this one seemed to give the most pay back. Seat of pans says it made a noticeable different in performance and really seems to come alive at 3000 RPM. I have no emissions checks in my area so can't comment on passing. I painted the tail pipe flat black and it looks good to me. I'll try to send you some images off line.

How did you contact us, first I have heard of this. If it was via e-mail I may have gotten to it yet, if so sorry for the delay.
> Would it pass emissions?
Cat back exhausts of any type do not effect emmisions.
> Is there really a gain in db
Yes, we guaranty it or your money back :-)
>and/or hp?
Yes, as to how much depends on the state of tune of your 928 and the type of mods to the engine and or the exaust in front of the cat-back system. As with any higher flow exhaust the more modified the engine etc the more effective results you gain.
>Also, does anybody have a picture as to how it looks mounted on a shark?
This is wierd to admit, but I went to my website (and local files) to find you a good shot of my 85 Euro from the rear but I don't seem to have a a photo with a clear shot of the exhaust tip. I will see if I can get you one.
In the meantime the best shot I have are at http://www.928gt.com/85euros.htm , check the bottom photo of the rear of the car. If you can lighten that photo it should show up.
The tip is a single 3.5" (for AB32, 3" for AB16) angle cut pipe exiting at the same angle as stock exhaust (perpidicular to body curve at that location).
Hope that helps and have a great 928 weekend,

Thanks for your replies on the afterburner 32. You guys have been most helpful to me. I'd still like to see more clearer pics of the exhaust tip. I am also wondering if the twin exhaust tips offered on 928specialists site for the afterburner 16 can be fitted for the afterburner 32. I really want to retain as much of a stock look as possible. I'm most likely going to purchase it anyway, but just wanted to know.
