Default Help With OB Rim Pics?

As you guys probably know I just had my car damaged by another driver and should be getting some cash for the repair shortly. I just got a set of polished 7" PD's from Russ at the 3rd coast and really like their look compaired to my junky looking S4 rims that came on the car. What I don't like is how far the rear rims are set in the car. I've thought about using a spacer to bring them out or trying to find a pair or set of 8" PD's that I think came on the 951's. With all that said I've also considered using the money to buy some aftermarket rims. What I was hoping you OB owners could help me with is posting pictures of the rims on your car. Porsche rims or aftermarket doesn't matter I'm just trying to figure out the style I like on my OB. Thanks for the help guys. Jason

I assume you want to fill that 1" space in the fender. You really cannot use enough spacer to give wider look as the wheel studs will not be long enough. My '81 came with the 7" rims and I had the same desire. I did try using the spacers from my '86.5, but did not think enough thread was being used (5-6 rotations of lug nut before tightening) I finally found a set of phone dials from a later 944. These are 7" and 8", and the rears are filled quite nicely with 245/45/16.

I like the wheels first time 928 owner found, are they 16", 17", 18"?

The AT Italia Rivas are nice looking, but I'm pretty sure they are no longer available. They also bend very easily.

I'll post a pic to make you happy, but just take the time to scroll through the RANDOM PICTURE THREAD and you will have all of the wheels you could imagine... Heck, now that I think about it, https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...coolest+wheels

Its just that these questions have been asked and answered several times.

So here's a warm 'n fuzzy...

Both my cars have stock wheels so there isn't much to see.

Nice wheels. I know what you mean on the multi posts. What I was trying to do with this thread was to get all the OB pics in one post instead of having to look through a 100 levels of threads to find them. I thought it would be easier for all OB owners. Jason

Off hand I cant remember - but with spacers I need to roll/flare the fenders. The tires size is Fronts: 22540ZR18 Rears 27535ZR18

IIRC - These wheels are no longer in production. (Im actually thinking about going to 17" for track use so these wheels may be available)
