Replacing the Throttle Cable
- remove from slide clip from the pedal
- remove from the intake side [don't forget to save the c-clip]
- make sure that all of the old rubber grommet is out [required a large, blade screwdriver to remove the old one]
- push the new pedal-clip through the firewall. DO NOT push the grommet through or clip to the intake side
- install/clip the pedal side first
- push the firewall grommet into place
- clip the intake side LAST
The pedal is always the toughest as its just a difficult place to work. I gained a significant amount of pedal/throttle response post-install. The throttle isn't any harder to push down... just a bit firmer all the way through to the floor. Definitely worth it if you have an original cable!!!
