Post 928 Club in Columbus

Anyone interested in a 928 meeting in Columbus, Ohio? Does anyone know if anything is already pre-existing 928 events and/or clubs in c-town?

Thanks,

Brad

If you can get a midwest gathering together, let me know. I'm a few hours away in Louisville.

Brad

I am going to be in that area the 27-29 of June to watch Mark Anderson race there.

Let me know if you'd like to get together.

Also, see the previous post on Sharks in the Ozarks.

Best Regards-

Cool

Hi Brad,
As a matter of fact, there are a couple fellows who are saying they want to get something like this set up. One sez he knows of about 18+ sharks in the area, the other sez he knows of more than a dozen. Both have even mentioned a meeting place, for the first gathering..... This is as much as I have heard. If or when I hear anything more, I'll try to find this thread again and post back. It sounds as if there is more than a little interest!

Gentlemen:

Brett, I'm definately interested. I live in the Dublin area, how about yourself? One easy way to get some folks together maybe just to hit Quaker Steak & Lube on antique car night. It might be a great way to trade contact information to get a bigger and better event going. What do you think?

Jay, I'll keep that in mind. Even if we just catch lunch and compare notes! <img src="graemlins/a_smil17.gif" border="0" alt="[blabla]" />

To those interested in a Columbus Ohio gathering, I'm trying to organize a get together at Polaris Quaker Steak on July 14. This was a good date for some of local PCA region 928 members. If a bunch of folks (many out of town) are coming for the Mid-Ohio event June 29/30 we could also plan something that weekend. I could be the focal as I have collected a good deal of local contacts (both PCA member and non member) for Columbus. I'll send something out in the next day or two for July. Let me know if you have specific suggestions.

Jim - If/when you get something planned, please post a note to NEOH928@yahoogroups.com. That will reach the 2 dozen or so Cleveland area 928 owners.

I know that several of us are planning to be at Mid-Ohio on Sunday June 30 to see Mark A race (his race time is 8:55 AM).

You can also visit the NEOH 928 Owners page and sign up so that you can post things to our calendar and set email notifications:

Talking

Just send this out to a bunch of folks and also posted on the 928 email list:

Greetings 928 Owners,

I'm Columbus Ohio 928 owner and have been requested by many of the central Ohio 928 community to organize a local social event.
I wanted to make you aware of two social gatherings planned for the upcoming weeks. Both will be at the Quaker Steak and Lube located at the Polaris exit off I71 (just North of I270 on the North end of Columbus). One is planned for Sunday July 14th and the other Saturday June 29. These are rain or shine events.
The gathering on the 29th is the result of the interest of many coming in from out of town to see Mark Anderson race at Mid Ohio on Sunday. No reservations necessary just come and park in the East lot and enjoy an evening of camaraderie with other shark owners. Most are expected to start showing after 5:00pm. I'm volunteering at the race and will not be there until after 6:00.
The July get together will be mainly Columbus folks but any one is welcome. I will be there after 4:00pm and will be reserving some tables inside and some spots in the parking area if possible. It would help me if you can RSVP the 14th event.

Please note these are not PCA planned events.

Thanks and hope to see you all on June 29 and/or July 14.
