custom audio installs

Some of those systems are really nice!!! But I think in these cars the stock look is the way to go. Plus I would not want all that weight in the back....messes with the performance of the car.
KBlair,
Regarding the placement of midbass with waveguides, on my competition car I placed mine in the back quarter panels. Most of the other competition systems (good ones, set up right) are placed there also. Alot of it depends on the acoustics of the 928. I have not done had waveguides in my 928 so you could temp. mount some midbass in the doors and see how that sounded. Then move them to the rear quarter panels. I know this is a pain in the a$$ but sometimes to get good sound you have to play with speaker placement to get it right. I know USD makes some excellent waveguides (they kinda pioneered this tech. into car audio), but I used Image Dynamic horns in my last car. The Image Dynamic horns played a little lower than the USD. I think I still have a pair of Image Dynamic horns if you are interested. I would sell them cheap Just let me know if you are interested.

You bet I'm interested! I've been waiting to do horns for a while and I believe that the rear midbass option will probably work best.
email me with the model of the ID horns at kblair@thekave.net
Thanks

KBlair, I will email you later and also send a pic of the horns.
