got the wife good this evening----
while backing the shark out of the driveway to run an errand, I asked Deb to check the back up lights (to see if they were working)......
"There's no back up lights," she replied.......
"Are you sure? How many lights are lit now?" (with car in reverse, marker lights on, foot on brake)
"Six, but they're all red."
"Exactly dear......as it should be."
"You know, on most normal cars, the back up lights are white," she informs me.
"Yes, dear, most normal cars.........."
(all red LED bulbs in the back of my Euro......)
Got her again-----She's so much fun!

yeah, Deb doesn't miss much.....she's been giving me hell about it all day.
the PD interceptor emblem is on the car, not photo chopped. it's a joke between me and one of my Texas DPS buddies (I swiped it off of his Crown Vic trooper car!!!) . it will come off when the car is repainted, as will the 928 V8 sticker and the "D" sticker (both put on by PO). The red LEDs above the license plate area are a replacement for the OEM lights that were rusted to pieces---one would not take a new bulb, and this is where they hacked into the wiring to connect up the side marker lamps for Federalization----The visible side of the lamp will be painted black so that the light will only shine down.
What led me to the all red LEDs (aside from my supplier not having any clear ones) was missing buying a set of all red taillight lenses on eBay a year ago---supposedly very rare. Painting the lenses red is not an option, but Nicole now has a clear lens insert for the turn signal portion of the OB lens. Now, if she had this done in red, and an insert for the back up section in red also, I'd be inclined to make the swap---even though it's a tricky thing to do with a dremel. I have plenty of spare lenses to chop up, but it's a lot of work to make the lens look like it came from the factory that way. The red LEDs do have the same affect as all red lens sections, although the camera doesn't show it very well......
