I have too many lake places one has to go.
I'll be a serious looker after the sale. Love both the silver and black with pacsha cars listed here.

I'm not sure when it law was retracted. There are a few 84's in my area, all of them have the higher speedo.
EDIT - my memory is fuzzy. Checked out a few sites that say it did not go into effect until 82. My 81 has the 85mph speedo...... I guess it all depends on when Porsche felt like making the change.

Seriously, that looks pretty affordable compared to what comparable places are going for up here.

Thanks, Ya, I was chatting with another guy from the great white north about lake property. He said the same thing. We had this property listed with a realtor all last spring and summer for 184,500.00 and never got an offer. The effin sub-prime borrowers screwed up the market so I lowered the price once our contract was with the realtor was done and started marketing the place myself. I have 3 people real serious now. We have a couple coming back out for a second look tomorrow. The current price is still very good for us. We own it.
Back on topic, I may be looking for a car if it sells..

The property around this 5800 acre lake is owned by Minnesota Power. They want to control the water as they use it to make electricity. If the land was privately owned they couldn't raise and lower the water level with their dam. As an owner you purchase the rights to a 30 year lease. It is marketable and increases in value like any other property would. The lease self renews approx every 5 years so the lease is never shorter that 25 years. There are many people building million dollar homes on these lease lots.
The payment for the "lease" includes the property (land tax) MN Power takes the funds paid to them and sends in the taxes. This insures the property never goes tax forfiet. This would create a serious problem for them. 2% of the amount they collect covers their accounting costs. So the actual lease amount is approx 500.00 per year. The rest ( approx. 2000.00) is land tax. The state bills for the structures on the property separately.
Sorry to get off track, hopefully this answers your questions.

I just received more pics from the owner, including the under-side: http://flickr.com/photos/trav_young/...7603614767492/
I also turned him onto the list, so you may see him on here.
