Default FS G28/08 w/ LSD $950

I have my old G28/08 w/ LSD boxed and for sale $950 plus shipping.
Not going to take the LSD out, please don't ask. Shipping preferred through Forward Air, Inc. out of SFO.

Good box, can down shift into 2nd, can speed shift to 2nd (don't let RPMs fall on the floor), can down shift to first, but slight notchy.

Only reason I pulled it was to install an upgrade to a G28/13 w/ LSD.

I offered to let people drive the car before the upgrade and no takers.
LSD is very tight and extremely predictable to force over steer into corners.

If it does not sell this time, I may take it apart and do a complete rebuild and keep it as a spare with its matching TT. Will offer the matching TT w/ bell housing at a deal w/ the tranny only.

I may be interested but not till the spring. If you still have it or something changes I will take it if it is not sold. That is a good price.

Cool cause there is a rebuilt motor I found that this will pay for, a win-win for everyone!

I don't have my handy transmission spreadsheet here at work, what's the ratios/ring+pinion for a G28/08? Is it the 82 tranny or 83-84 tranny?

G28/08 is 2.36:1 gear set (unless Andre changed it?)

Sterling is correct G28/13 US spec 2.20:1 gear set

Sterling, recall you asked to swap with me a long time ago. Sorry, I like this highway gear, and I can still put 40ft in 11's with it, which is down from my usual 60-80ft

Yep, IIRC it is 2.73 from my G28/05 (had to check mechanic's billing invoice records).

It is very lively as it would only make 45MPH in 1st and 65-70MPH in 2nd.

Had I known about the 2.36 gear, I would have hung on to it!

Not to hijack but \tThis question has been dangling in my head, 0 to 60 mph in first gear, is that possible by swapping gear and final ratios?

I go by what the speedo reads, and this is deep red line too 6500, for some strange reason the power band feels really extended. 7000 has a quick fade of power.

2.75 G28/08 1st is like 10.8:1
2.20 G28/13 1st is like 9.3.1

There is a thread which breaks down gear ratios to final drive, the making of a 3.09:1 final drive for 2.20 trannys.

Who would want a slushbox?

I can make one if all the info is easy to find in the WSMs (or on 928 Specialists site).
