E-bay seems to be a great place, as long as the price is right. Here are the stats from my auctions:

Cobra: Ad viewed 7,096 times. About 140 people 'watching' the auction. Received $1,700 more than my reserve with a 1 week listing.

928 GT: 2,902 views (I guess race cars are more popular), 88 people watching, and we are close to the reserve. I'll be very surprised if it does not sell with its first listing.

Jakermc,

Don't know if you have completed the deal on your maserait yet, but a close friend of mine has one for sale here are the details;

2006 Maserati Gransport Coupe Cambiocorsa
Gegico Silver Blue Exterior
15,000 miles
$59,900.00
Located in Destin, FL.

The car is in great shape.

I just sold my wife's Jag there, albeit indirectly. I guess, if nothing else, it is a means of advertisement...

(BTW-We did list the Jag on AutoTrader.com, and ALL we got was a bunch of dealers and brokers calling, this was a total waste of time)
eBay is great advertising and if you are in a position to sell the car for slightly less than market value and depending on how fast you want to sell its a great place to sell a car. I have sold a few cars on eBay (most took 4-6 auctions to get what I wanted- the right person has to see the car...) and a few as a result of running an auction.

Autotrader and cars.com are also good places but you have to put in the ad NO BROKERS or you will get flooded with calls (even still some can't/don't read) from these knotheads who have a "better way" to sell your car on some obscure website you've never heard of and it just so happens they have somebody looking for your particular model... A detailed accurate description (no need to be a blow hard/bragger like one particular individual who sells only "concours" 928s just stick to the facts ) and good high res pictures are also critical to getting more $ for the car.

That's a good price for a Gransport, out of my price range though. I drove home my 2004 Coupe from New Orleans this weekend - all I can say is WOW!

This car really is amazing. The most comfortable 7 hours behind the wheel I have ever had. I averaged 82mph on the trip, including the slow downs. I reached a top speed of 114 mph and it wanted more. The most stable car I have ever driven at triple digits. Acceleration between 80 and 100 in 6th gear brought a silly grin to my face.

The paddle shift is a lot of fun. Its a true manual tranny and the car acts like a true manual, with the computer controlling the clutch slip. I am already learning how to modulate the throttle a bit and time the gear shift to be smooth.

It does not have the tank-like build quality of a 928 but I do still have some time left on the factory warranty.

Glad you like your new ride nothing better than the 1st ride home after making the deal. Smiling all the way!

My friend loves his too, but he just has too many toys and something has to go.
It is a good price (59900) I think he paid around 75000 or more in Atlanta less than a year ago.

Enjoy!

Reserve has been met with 18 1/2 hours to go. Looks like she will have a new home soon ...

Congratulations. I'm interested to see where the bidding stops, but probably not as much as you.

Best wishes on the sale. I hope you get at least your "buy it now" price which went away when the reserve was met.

I'm anxious to see what yours goes for, as it's a fairly good "comp" for my own. I also hope it remains in this part of the country, as we're not graced with many 928's as beautiful as yours around here.

Based on the buyer's name, it looks like we may have another 911 convert

I wouldn't say convert, more like dual citizenship. After all, Rob is selling the 928, not any of the rear engined cars....
