Hi all,
I have a sensor located at the front of the engine and I can't figure where it goes. I've searched and also checked the manual but no sign of the sensor.
Any ideas where it goes and what it's for much appreciated !
I think that is the timing belt sensor...I could be wrong! There is a hole in the plastic timing belt cover below the upper radiator hose- it fits in there, I believe. That is where this goes on my '85 S2.
Normy is right, it's the timing belt warning switch wire. The other end of the plug is on the cam belt cover, located sort of behind the dip stick, just below the bolt that holds the dip stick to cam belt cover.
OK, thanks guys - I have the timing belt covers off so that's why I couldn't find the hole for this little sensor. Obvious now I guess but I was really frustrated looking for this things home !
Thanks
