If carpet color do not match interior code there should be some option code listed which explains it. I'm not sure what exactly it should be, could be any one of these three:

Z34 Non-standard carpet colours
Z69 Carpet-Standard Color (deviating from interior colors)
Z69 Unique carpet colour
Z100 Deviating carpeting colour from standard colours

Different option code lists give different meaning for Z69. Unique carpet colour is perhaps more likely correct for it.

Default I can look at it..

It's about 30 min away from me but not until the 8th or 9th. I'm in Switzerland and returning late on the 7th. If there any specific issues you want me to cover than send a pm with Q's or e-mail before hand.

Herman Koster 94 GTS

PS. I did visit with Marton and his wife Simone in Zurich.

Happy New Year!

I don't know on the front plate either. My car does not have any holes for mounting a front license plate. Does that just have to do with individual state regulations requiring it in 1987?
I guess the proper code is a "Z" code....which is not there...so its safe to say the carpet in this car was changed....but why???? Water damage maybe?

For sure this is a beautiful car but warped quarter panels and minor exterior things are no big deal. It could be a repaint but if it's well done, shouldn't be a deal breaker. However, the paint on the manifold appears to be slopped on and dripped and is cause for caution. Visually, few should be concerned with this car at this price. However, little is said about the mechanical condition....and that's where the rubber meets the road. Also, if it's been damaged in a wreck, that would be a concern. A careful PPI is the ONLY way to buy any 928, including this one.

I know the seller, Michael Roa (I'm not vouching for him; I just know him). If anyone is serious about this car, I'd be happy to take a look at it, take some photos, and help facilitate a PPI.

The intake looks original to me, not sure what the drippy stuff is though

the carpets wouldnt put me off, who's to say it wasnt installed like that from the factory. I know some cars left the porsche factory with black carpet that would otherwise match the seats. So there's no option code for it. My car clearly has full leather by the leather headliner, and rear quarter panels among other things yet has no option code for it.

Car looks real nice, sure it may have some issues but i think some of the above, especially the carpet is really nit picky. Perhaps they weren't being pointed out as being negatives, so much as just being pointed out as being differences.

negatives i would say intake could use a repaint, although its not flaking so thats still debatable. And the rear QTRS are slightly warped but thats unfortunately common on leather cars. I still much prefer the warped leather to the straight vinyl. But thats all personal preference.

Nice car, hope he gets what he is asking
