Leather Glove Box Door Warping

Leather Glove Box Door Warping
Has anyone messed around with the leather glove box door warping problem. On my 86.5 the leather is warped but in otherwise very good shape. It seems more that what warped is the padding underneath. If suitable replacement padding is available, the leather could be steamed or mostened with Leatherigue and reapplied. Any thoughts?

I've Got a glovebox door in excellent condition. Padding etc in great condition and no warping. Its, cobalt blue leather. You may be able to put your leather over it and recover. OR, recover with new material. If it's black it'll be easy to match, if not, may be more difficult to get closer to the original color due to fading. Let me know.

If your padding under the cover is in reasonable condition, why not lay a bead of weatherstrip adhesive along the outside edge of the metal door and along the inner edge of the padding and clamp the two together? I stuck mine back together that way. It looks good and has lasted. Just be careful to not smear any weatherstrip adhesive on the flocked inner lining of the glove box door.
