Watercooler, what is this guy's eBay handle? It sounds like a good idea for all of us to add him to our block lists in advance!

Hello all,
I have cancelled and blocked the problem bidder with no trouble.
I sent a question concerning this matter to ebay staff, and I received a good response within a day!
I thought I would pass along their response to anyone who list "stuff" on ebay.
Hello Mike,
Thank you for writing to eBay with your concern about blocking a bidder.
I would be happy to assist you with your question.
You did the right thing by writing in to us with this problem. If you
feel that the bidder may not honor the transactions, you are allowed to
cancel the bid.As a seller, you're allowed to cancel the bid of any
bidder for any reason during an auction. If you discover that a bidder
with a questionable history has bid on your item, cancel the bid and ask
politely that the bidder not bid on your items again.
Many sellers find it effective to state in their auction terms specific
feedback conditions that must be met by potential bidders. For example,
you could state in your listings that you won't accept bids from anyone
with more than x number of negative comments. If someone places a bid on
your auction and shouldn't be bidding, you can then legitimately cancel
their bid.If There are just a few steps needed to cancel a member's bid
on your auction and then to place them on your block bidders list. The
information below will tell you how to do all of that.
To cancel the Bidder's bid please follow the steps below:
1.Click on the "site map" link located at the top of most eBay pages.
2.When the Site Map page opens, click on "Cancel bids on my item." This
link is located under the "Buying and Selling" heading near the top of
the middle column.
3. Follow the instructions on that page.
You can also cancel a bid by going to the item's bid history page and
clicking on the 'cancellation' link.
Once the bid is cancelled, you can add them to the Bidder Block list to
ensure that the Bidder does not bid on your auctions again. The Bidder
Block feature allows you to create your own list of eBay members who
will not be able to bid on your listings.
To block a bidder, please follow the steps below:
1. Click on the "Services" button at the top of any eBay page.
2. Next, click on the "buying and selling" link which will appear
beneath the "Services" button.
3. Lastly, click on "Bidder Management" link.
Members can be added or removed from this list at your discretion. By
placing a User ID on this list our system will block that user from
placing bids on your auctions. We have found that this is a great option
for sellers because it provides them with more peace of mind around
their auctions - knowing that certain Bidders cannot bid on their
listings.
Important Note: If a Bidder has current bids on your listings, and you
want to block them from bidding on your auctions, please cancel their
bid first and then add them to your Block Bidder list. It's important to
do this in that order because if the bids are not cancelled first they
may end up as the high Bidder, even though they are on your Block Bidder
list.
We have a feature available to sellers called Bidder Block. It allows
you to create your own list of eBay members who will not be permitted to
bid on any of your listings.
To set up your Bidder Block list, please go to:

Members can be added or removed from this list at your discretion at any
time. When a User ID is placed on this list our system will block them
from placing a bid on your listings.
Mike ,it is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing eBay.

Old & New, this auction was not for a Porsche related item, it was for a military aviation related item. So, I don't think anyone here would run the risk of this annoyance. If it were Porsche related, I would advise ASAP.
Thanks for all the comments, <img border="0" alt="[byebye]" title="" src="graemlins/wave.gif" />

I sold my rx7 convertible on ebay a few weeks ago. one guy wanted me to end the auction early. i gave him a # he came back a little lower. the next day a guy came over, looked at the car and started peeling off bills.
i ended the auction early and told the guy i got the same $$ i told him i would end the auction for.
the dick then sends me an e mail that i defrauded ebay etc. hey the car was his if he said yes.
he is pissed! he let a 40k gem go over $250.
