Daymon: the wide body 928 in the pic can take wheels with a huge outer lip, but ours can't. Even if you got the same wheels for your car, they would have to look quite different.

JPTL has a black GT with similar wheels, and here are some pics of a '90 GT with a similar wheel:

thanks a million for saving me some time. i saw the widebody and was wondering if they would work.
also thanks so much for those pictures. i am trying to put together an album now of this car to just keep some history and evolution of it's past and where it has been. i'm big on stories of cars and their PO's so any other pictures you have or any stories you'd care to share with me would be greatly appreciated. i'd be willing to cover expenses on your time and photos.
