Black flat dish wheels
Hi, I got my hands on a cheap set of 7" flat dish wheels. I'm gonna use them for track use, and get proper tires for that use.
Anyways, I'm considering having them painted black, anyone done that? pics?

Some 928 S and/or S2 models in UK had body color flats when these cars were new. Black on black cars and white on white, possibly red on red also. These painted flat might even have been done by official dealer when they were brand new.

I had them on my prior black 928s..looked too much like "Knight Rider" to me !! would look better on a color other than black.
..sorry i do not have any digital pics to post !

I have only polished the flat wheels before. I have used paint on my phonr dials and it came out very good, the paint was from autozone (silver wheel paint) and clearcoat. For prep I took old paint off down to factory base (white color) and then paint. Small scratches can be filled or sanded (did this for the flats)

BeerBurner has black phone dial track wheels. He probably has some pictures posted on here somewhere. They look really good. They also don't make the car look like crap when you collect a lot of brake dust and tire boogers. My next set of track wheels will be black.

I had planned on satin black for my 16x8 flats. Just haven't done it yet. My car is silver and I had thought about matching the body color, but I want to do it from a paint can and am not sure I can find a good match.
