They obviously invested a lot of work to make that one finally happen.
A rather questionable conversion, IMHO.
Looks like pretty neat craftsmanship, though.
To each his own...

Now that you mention the passengers...
No offense but the guys inside the car look quite exactly alike and they do all look like they're up to no good with their dark shades and mustaches.
They might very well carry a pair of brass knuckles in the glove compartment, some baseball bats behind the seats and probably need the extra space for the heavy artillery and to dispose them bodies.
And they sure don't have livestock and manure on their farm - they only grow a very certain kind of plant there...

I've seen this car before, in the planning stages, someone posted it on the list. I heard it was a top notch job, if memory serves.
What is on the hood next to the front right headlight?

This is something I would have expected in Southern California or Florida, rather than good cold Germany. The fact that it even got a registration tells me that they passed the strict vehicle inspection (TÜV) in Germany, so it MUST be very well executed. Unbelievable, though, that they can sstill seat four in that thing...
ROFL! That is utterly tasteless.
Actually, I've seen that one before (or one like it - Assuming the world is big enough for two of those? Hope not), but that was a pretty bad rear-view shot; Until now, I had no idea it was this ugly
.
If I'm not mistaken it also has the killer-pimp ****-red interior. Who wouldn't die for a 928 in that exclusively rare red/blue combo. I know I would. I mean, Die if ever seen sitting in that
.

you mean somebody beat me to that idea?...seriously....'one' day I'll figure out how to do this, but with MUCH wider track and fully enclosed look with rear hatch.
Hey is that bird poop on the passenger side of the hood near the headlight?
Anyone knows where to get this particular one? (Short of hiring a private Investigator who would start with the license plate). where did the pic come from?
Always interested in unconventional stuff, especially 928s !!
thanks

I just browsed through most of the pics and couldn't find any more shots of the 928 but came to the conclusion that the whole Woertherseetour-thing strongly resembles Ft. Lauderdale during spring break :

It's kind of weird - many Americans seem to think we don't have fun in Germany, that we're serious and work hard all the time, etc. etc...
Well, the Wörthersee Tour is an example of how goofy people in this area can actually be. I admit, the event takes place in Austria, but that's not far from Germany.
The following story might be an explanation, though:
The Bavarians (the German "tribe" that lives in the Southeastern state of Bavaria) claim that god made Bavaria and Austria at the same time. They say that god stood on top of the mountains and carved out the humans. Whenever he had one completed, he inspected his work. If he was happy with it, he'd throw it onto the Bavarian side. If it didn't turn out quite right, he'd throw it over to the Austrian territory.
No, I did not make up this story! Bavarians told me that's why they consider Austrians crazy. But then again, you can never trust those Bavarians - they also consider a Mercedes is an Import Car!
Who's crazy?

Jim:
Someone asked me this weekend, if there ever was a four wheel drive 928. Gosh, I realize at the time I was not qualified to properly answer his question. Now I am. Thanks!
