running fine 15sek then suddenly very poor...
Hi..
Please please help me.. My S4 always runs fine when I start it then after a few seconds the voltage meter goes down a bit and then up agian but now the engine runs very bad... it loses more than 50% of the power and sound roughf... I've been to several garages but no one knows... Please give me some suggestions..
(Sorry about my poor english.. I´m from Sweden and we don´t have any good pages like thisone here...

Check the 'after one week, no start, coil?'
post at bottom of this page.
Check out the Nichols site. I would try the coil swap as some of the symptoms sound like the running on four/limping home on 4 cylinder posts. Besides, it's not that expensive and you can eliminate the coil as a problem for a few years. Then use the Nichols site and some of the replies to the 'coil post'. Check all leads to the alternator for good contact and tightness.
Get back with us for additional info or if you get that puppy fixed.

Another possibility is bad gas and/or gummed fuel system. I have had a similar problem with both of my S4 and 500SEL but after a few bottles of Redline fuel system cleaner the problem disappeared. Worth a try. Good luck.
