Cold start issue & idling driving me crazy?
my 81' US 16 valve has been running tip top since the top end rebuild, but I have 2 issues that are getting annoying.
1: It's an absolute PITA to start now with the colder weather. Never did that before the rebuild? Always cranked up first turn. Takes like 5 minutes to finally stumble and catch. I'm gonna burnout the starter pretty soon and kill the battery doing this!
2: It's still idling all over the place? sometimes at 1k, 2k, 1.5k really no ryhme or reason? Definately ran at 1k idling before the headgasket job.
I checked all the vacuum lines twice and they are all new. I'm running out of ideas, anyone know a quick check for the coldstart valve or have had similar issues after the headgasket job?
Thanks
Tristan
