Oh, heated seats would have been nice. High 30s and REALLY windy this morning.
Chris, with the automatic transmission you don't get that warm air coming up around the shift boot do you?

Slight chance of rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Expected highs in the upper 60's. Overnight lows in the low 40's. This is the dead of winter for us, weather-wise. If it doesn't make it into the 70's in the afternoon sometime, it must be winter.
Everybody has the option to drive here. Everyone exercises the option to drive here. Generally, everybody exercises that option right in front of me. I took a short drive this morning over to the Rose Bowl. No traffic at 5am, thank goodness.
Looks like I'm home for the holidays now.

Bob-
My option is dictated by the fact that the engine is out of the car... although the 10" of snow we got yesterday wouldn't exactly entice me to drive mine.

No heated seats in my S4, and I would love that feature. I just bought a Volvo 855R, and it has heated seats up front. A first for me. Holy cow! I love them. My kids completely bum out sitting in the back seat with no heated seats while I gloat every time we're in the car. Its mean I know, but I can't help it.

Folks, Dr. Bob lives in tropical spendor in Los Angeles-ville. We in Norcal must gut it out in this awful winter chill of around 40 degrees, which I did last night as I installed my hatch lock on my car in the rain at 3 AM. Thought I would suffer from over exposure, but then I was raised in Hawaii so this is dreadful for me...right? I, too, have heated seats and I remember using them ...............once...........a long time ago. They work. That's all I know about them To me the most comfortable option is the extended hub steering wheel which supplements the already perfect driving position. Now if I could find a way to move the pedals a few inches farther from my seat I would be a happy camper.
Bob's not kidding about LA drivers all exercising their right to drive at any time. The last time I was down there (about a month ago), it seems LA traffic had gotten worse. I think if they all could find a way to drive two cars at once they would do it. One big freeway and everyone on it all at once and not hitting anyone else (very often) and exceeding the speed limit by at least 20 mph. LA is a real gas! Pop in a CD and do battle on the 405!!

Sittin' out on the patio, lookin' down (literally...) on the unfortunates that suffer through the freeway commute every day. Schools (colleges) are out for the holidays so that lightens things up some. Still not much fun most days. Kinda doin' the hermit thing today. Gotta get a bunch of work out the door and billed before the end of the year, hoping I don't get paid until early next year so I can defer the tax liability some. Getting a little high overcast as the sun drops low. I --really-- miss living in a cold state, where I had/needed a winter car. So much time to work on the "good" car during the long cold nights.
I spent a couple weeks just north of Portland in late Nov and early Dec, got rained and then snowed on. Moved on to a project in NJ for a few days, where I got blown around, snowed on, freezing rain, more snow, and just plain old cold. I admire folks who have the fortitude needed to be there year round. I did it for years and learned my lesson. Moved to cali to escape the summer heat and humidity in the east, and this was my first time back to the old homeland in almost 40 years. Weather there still bites. Two more years and I'll be a Cali native. Always two more years...

The '85S I recently sold may be the only 928 ever delivered from the factory with the heated seat option on the PASSENGER side only. Anything to keep the other half hot I guess.

Oh yeah, the original 928 question and all---
1) GREAT air conditioning.
2) GREAT brakes!
3) Acceleration
4) Handling
I drove a rental in the cold climes and it had heated seats. Tw settings. Ten minutes on the hottest setting and I started to smell something burning. Seat was more than toasty though, plus it's a rental, so I endured the fragrance with the bun-warmer set to warp 7. Nice! Just don't know what I'd do with them in L.A. though.
