Hi all,
I'm going to look at a 83 928s soon and I need some points to look at for potential issues. I currently drive an 85.5 944na and I know only the basics on a 928. Please help!

Tim,
Hard to tell what to look for, easier to say what not to look for.
Look for the general condition of the car, is everything function and did everything looks original
Buy a good car (not a scrap) with has been maintenance and driven well, and if possible with a full record
Remember, better to pay a little more for a good car, because it cost with guaranty more to make a bad car to a good car - The 928 is a complicated car and very expensive to repair
Consult a Porsche expert/owner, or a Porsche Club and let them look/try the car before you buy - That's so easy 'too fall in love' but if you do it too fast, that can be so d... expensive!
The paint/wheels/tires are the less important things, but mostly what people are looking for - These can always be done according to your personal wishes as a pleasure later
Good luck!

Thank's Eric, I just went to look at it this afternoon (without the owner) and it looked good on the outside, but trashed on the interior. I will go by tonight with the owner and take it for a test ride. I doubt that this 928 is the one for me as I already have a project car. It kills me to see a 928 in such disrepair. <img src="graemlins/cussing.gif" border="0" alt="[grrrrrrr]" /> Thanks for the advice.
