I don't use a spacer with '88 S4 running 265/35 - 18's. They fit fine and look good.

I just scored some track tires and the rear tires are 275/45 and reportedly they will fit fine too.

275/45 is kinda huge... that's like an inch and a half bigger diameter than stock isn't it?

Yes it is. Chuck B is running them and he's doing fine with them. I got them for basically nothing, so I will run them at the track (when I get done with a ton of work on my S4) and see how they do.

If they're not working good, it will be essentially no lose to change them out for a tire closer to the stock diameter.

And I'm not recommending anyone else run 275/45 - 18's. I was just saying that the 275's on a 10" wheel will fit on the '88 S4 no problem.
