Post Paint Your Wagon!

Dammit, I knew I should have painted the cam-covers, too!

Yep. It's an '87 S4 with 88K miles. I've had it for about a year or so. One of the crankcase breather hoses was split, and the only way to replace it is to pull the plenum. So I took the opportunity to clean it up and paint it while it was off. I picked-out the raised lettering with red enamel and an artist's brush. It looks so good, I almost wish I could drive around with the hood up!

The car is marine blue metallic. I live in San Diego county, but the 928 isn't my daily driver, so it's unlikely that you've seen it around, at least not since I bought it. Here's a couple of photos...

Looks pretty nice Ian.

I have a Black 87 that currently has the Cam Covers already painted in Black w/yellow lettering. I just pulled my Intake in preps for painting it the same color combination. This should look pretty good with my black seats w/ yellow piping and the yellow calipers. Looks better IMHO anyway...

Nice looking ride Ian.
What kind of exhaust tip is that?
Did you have a RMB plated?
It compliments the wheels very nicely.

Ian - are you on email distribution for the San Diego area 928 owners?

There's a get-together planned for this coming Saturday - usually 12-20 cars show up.

If you like, I'll have you added to the list if you aren't already. Brian Henderson does a great job at organizing these things.

I'm pretty sure I'd remember that intake if I'd seen it before.

Feel free to email me directly if you'd like particulars (click the email icon next to my name in this post - you've blocked yours).

I'm waaaaaay out there!

Thanks for the info regarding the 928 get-together (about half a mile from where I'm sitting right now), but I have other plans, so I doubt that I'll make it.

I'll probably be unable to attend also - the offer was to add you to the SD distribution list for future events.
