Dave, I use Hotmail all the time. Occasionally there are problems with logging on. Are you logging on automatically? Having your computer remember your password?? If you do, try signing onto Hotmail manually and retype your account and password.

Thanks for the response. I tried again a few minutes ago and it worked. <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" /> Seems that hotmail was just "down" for a while and I got panicky about losing the stuff in my "in" box.
