Thank you for the input, guys - now to figure out the best approach... I'm only using a dealer because the alternative was even worse! I would just love to find a good 928 mechanic, but where? By the by, I am in London, England. Haven't a clue what this would mean in terms of shipping stuff in from the States... Another question to ckeck out is the impact of mods/non-original parts on my insurance... will let you know what, how and why as things move on. Well, for one thing, the current exchange rate will get you some stuff at a good price. If you want to buy from the US, now is the time. Figure about $100 for shipping and whatever on top for import duties and VAT.
