Rattle Sound
I've been having this slight but aggrivating rattle comming from what sounds like behind the engine. I replaced the drive plates about 8 months ago and this just started recently. I had the car on the lift today and shined a flashlight through the little peep hole in the flywheel cover. It looks as though my flywheel is either wobbling or not round. I removed the cover and retorqued all the bolts I could get my hands on and even the shaft coupling, nothing was loose. Could this "out of whack" looking flywheel be caused by bad bearing in the drive tube? I'm up for any suggestions as long as no one tells my I have to pull this thing apart again.

Is this the same problem you asked about before?:

Hmmm...would be helpful if you told us about your car...what year is it? Is it s 5spd.
If it is a 5 spd...and it is dual disc model...check for clutch chatter. I had a rattle coming from the same location and although the clutch FELT good, it was actually worn out of wack.
In this case check your intermediate plate closely too.
