CIS has been getting lots of love round here lately, but I guess this guy didn't like it

I don't care if that chebby engine is lighter and makes more power, its damn ugly!!!

I like the interior, I think its well done...

I'm not sure about the bumpers being smoothed into the body, looks like the lines are missing...

But a clean car nonetheless.... (except the funky window moulding on the drivers side)

If someone wants to put a small block in 928, it's their car. It would just be nice to see someone really push the envelope and use a fuel injected engine.

Those bumpers smoothed into the fenders may look nice from a distance, but permanently affixing that soft neoprene to aluminum and steel is a recipe for cracking down the road.

Even in the last version (crossfire) the L82 did not make much power, 205 net I think.

It is a classic case of putting money into a car and devalue it at the same time.

It is fugly too.

I don't like the interior of the car either. In fact I don't think there is anything that makes that car attractive.

"Mechanically perfect except week sincros in trany, speedo and tach do not work"

Spell check doesn't work either.

The engine compartment is a total basket case. I agree...close the hood...please!

I kinda like the interior and it is a nice black paint job but not a fan of what was done under the hood or on top of the hood.

Show car? Nothing about the engine or the installation of that engine says: "show quality" to me. Interesting exterior. Spent all the cash into the paint job, I guess. JMHO

I'll have to take a look.
The grey-er and perhaps saltier email list veterans will remember a well done and ornery buidup by Patrick from Texas years ago.
There's a nice smallblock care around my parts, I wouldn't be shamed to own it. But one comment was spot-on, once having a powerplant so amenable to upgrades and aftermarket, might as well go nutz!

*checked it*..the small pics, at least..

HATE the green block.
Don't like the S4 wing. Er, is that something else tacked on near the top of the hatch?
Don't like the gloss front spoiler
Don't like the interior.
Do like the hood and paint..if the stripe is silver. HOwever, the hood does look to have fitment issues- high on pass side and large gap in front.
Would be surprised if the body seem blending holds up over time, but aesthetically I like it.
And not be a wuss but, what, no A/C???

Even my Euro isn't THAT stripped..:-)

I think I'd...opt for different wheels. Swap the gold hood badge for a silver one. Put on GTS mirrors...get some engine covers machined and add some nitrous...

I'm getting really tired of being on dialup.

Where do you get the mirror material for the underside of the hood.

In general, I don't get it. The Chevy engine is much more appropropriate in a classic Chevy. I've seen folks do the same with the much beloved Alfas too. Unlike Jaguar, the Porsche engine was a strength....so what's the point?

I agree with the cracking issue down the road but man it sure looks nice now. I love the look of the blended fenders and bumper covers. Jason

The probable 330-350 ft lbs of torque is a HUGE increase from the original 245 ft lbs that wakes up the assometer The GTS makes about 370 ft lbs.
