Alan, I tried to use the fader ****, but by the time I fed the the part that turns up through the opening, there was not enough exposed for the fader **** to fit onto.
I'm going to take a look at it again later and try to find a better way.
I have the same infinity sub with an Alpine stereo and all you do is push the main volume **** in. Then the **** acts as the volume control for the sub. If you don't turn the button after a few seconds, it reverts back to control the main volume. It's a good sub. I wanted to add bass a while ago right before I was about to take a long trip in the car so I went with the infinity sub and just mounted it to the back of the driver's side rear seat. Not an ideal location but the bass is great and it can't really be seen from outside the car unless you really look for it.
This sub will fit directly in the spare. It is very light is a BOSE and adds good bass to my system. If you want to rattle your windows FORGET IT. Other than that $60 easy to install has it's own amp 2 wire hook up. I think it's one of the best $ i have spent on my system.
I went to my guy who did my stereo system on my 911 and wanted to ad a sub for my S4, a single 10" with amp he quoted $400. I went shopping. At Pep Boys for $59 I bought a double 10" enclosed with ports and a 400 watt amp for $54 and cable for $14. Had it installed (differant guys) for $50. Can't tell you how good it sounds. I replaced my 2 far rear 3 1/2" speakers with Sony's and the stereo sounds insane. The box sits far enough down that it doesn't impede my rearview site line and the box (excuse the poor pics) looks custom enough to fool most. The amp sits in my spare wheel well and the speakers fit so snug and are heavy enough there is no sliding. I can disconnect the speakers in a snap spin them around reconnect and point them out the rear opened hatch for outdoor events. All for less than 2 bills.
Piccardo do you know the model number for the in spare sub designed for the NSX? Looks like a perfect solution for our cars while being able to keep the spare.

You wouldn't happen to have a picture of this installed in your spare tire by chance? Any clearance problems? I was wondering if one of these would fit the 928 spare.
