Funny you consider the 993 to be raw. I guess compared to a 928 it is. I usually consider the 993's to be civilized compared to the earlier 911's especially my turbo.

BTW very nice and clean car. They are commanding big $$ lately although the tips are more reasonable. Best luck with it.

Agreed on the refinement difference. We test drove some 964's and I have driven older 911's in the past & the 993 is a level above in terms of refinement.

Thanks for the compliment!

Very nice , many consider the 993 to be the LAST REAL 911 !! and resale prices reflect that.

Have always loved the 993. I have wanted one since they came out, but when it was time to buy I just couldnt fork out more money for a slower car with more miles than my 996. My 996 was $31,000 with just 20,000 miles on it. I am jelious everytime I see a 993, but the 996 is way faster, and maintinence free.

You should have fun with it! I've owned my '95 993 C4 Cab for several years now and I really enjoy driving it! It's nothing like a 928. Hard to believe these two cars were made by the same company at the same time. COMPLETELY different feel and driving experience!

Check out my 928OC license plate holder on the 993!

Love the 993's, I think they are the best looking nine-one-one. Congrats on the purchase, she's a pretty one.

I am sorry, this is a joke right?

Otherwise, I have to disagree with this. The 996 is not way faster than a 993 or a 964. My 964 is about as fast as my GTS. On the track the 964 holds its own quite well against the other cars minus the turbo and GT cars which have a HP advantage same in straight line acceleration with the 996 gaining a bit from 0-60 but not much. Maintenance is also more or less on par for all model 911's they all have their individual issues just the way the 928 does. The 996 has the biggest issue with the RMS. This and mass produced numbers have caused the 996 to drop to the $$ they are currently selling at. Now if you compared them to a 997 CS I would agree especially with the power package.
