The Panamera early sketches showed such glorious potential, and yet somehow it's gona all horribly wrong in final form.

My dreams of a gorgeous modern 4-door-928 are lost.

Original cgi sketches looked promising:

but then somehow it turned out like this:

and for an example of a good looking 4-door-hatch, one need only look to the Aston Rapide:

Hard to tell with all those fake panels stuck on and all that tape. The GTS type side mirrors are out of place. Good disguise.

Well, at least we know what the Panamera doesn't look like. Think back to the ugly mess the 928 looked like in it's test car clothing.

From the "spy" photo's I've seen, the disguise may actually be an improvement!
Of course, if they can sell the Cayenne, I guess they can sell anything - except, unfortunately, the 928....

Can you say "four door Carrera"????

maybe....."stretch limo Carrera"????

or......"Carrera-Maybach competitor"????

the rear door lines are very, very wrong......entirely too long.

Yikes...Porsche has done a great job of disguising the new beast as "butt ugly"!! If they are putting that much effort into hiding the car from it's intended form it should be interesting to see the final product!

It looks like it wants to be a stretch Nissan 350Z. I hope they don't call it a 928.
