How anyone could sell these covers and keep the customers money is beyond me! Obviously they are not a Rennlist sponsor.
A customer bought these seat covers from a well known supplier of upholstery and trim. The customer said he had them installed by a local shop and after much hassle with the seller, they wouldn't take them back or make good on them.
He sent them to me with the understanding that we would try to straighten them out, but couldn't guaranty the results; since from his description, the covers may not even be the right ones for the seats. The seller said they were the right ones.
It turned out the cover were indeed the correct ones, however the construction was just plain poor. In some places we took out 1 1/2 inches of material. In others we sewed straight seams in place of the crooked ones. The last two pix are after we reworked them.

Robb is doing the right thing by not directly bad mouthing the competition.
It would however be nice if the actual customer posted here mentioning the supplier and their experience so others don't go through similar problems.

I have reservations about naming the seller since I didn't deal directly with them and all I have to go on is what the customer told me.

PM me the name, I have no issues posting it.
Then we can delete this post and all will know who to avoid.

Nice improvement....... The 928 community is lucky that we have at least three skilled leather craftsman, in yourself, Paul and the guy that works for the SLC motorsports!!

Rob's got his sh** together about not posting the name of the "other guy".
That's stand up stuff on his part....... no need to name, just show his correction to a "not so great" situation.

Rob.Do you sell ready to install seat upholstry kits? I have done a few recover jobs over the years and it is not that difficult. Just need to take your time and be careful. The seats in my 84 could use some new covers.
