Question Rear console Question

Hi again,
Thanks all of you for the information on the quickest 928 out there <img src="graemlins/jumper.gif" border="0" alt="[jumper]" />

Next question:
I had the old rear centre console(the one without the compartment) and i changes it to the one with the compartment/cigarette lighter and there is a gap between the front of the console and the carpet of about 1/2 and inch...
All the pictures i looked at the console was touching the carpet.
Have i done somthing wrong??? <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[crying]" />

Advice would be appriciated...

Thanks,
Sparky <img src="graemlins/c.gif" border="0" alt="[ouch]" />

Two things come to mind:

1) At some point the bodywork was modified and the rear 'hump' was made larger

2) How much insulation is there under your carpet ?? Was it increased on later MY's ??

Thanks chris <img src="graemlins/r.gif" border="0" alt="[king]" />
There isnt much insulation under the carpet.
The increase in the hump in the rear would account for the gap...
Ill have to find a way to fill it with somthing..

Any suggestions

Thanks for the advice!!!
Sparky
