Sounds like you'll be doing enough to start your very own 928 web site resource....possibily with pictures?
Either way, let me know when you start doing this stuff. I'd like to join ya and lend a hand.
Heck, I'd even be able to take the photos and set up your web page if you're interested. If I managed to put together my own goofy 928 page (link below), I ought to be able to get one up for you.
Dan,
Can you email me with How to.. Rebuild the master brake cylinder? What parts are expected to be replaced?
The Engine going in is an engine that runs, and timing belt is ok.
New cams are a bit expensive the last time I looked. I am not sure, but If and I say If one of the Big 3 can swing a nice deal for everything maybe I will install a new cam. If I was to install a new cam, I am completely out of my forte and knowledge arena. Would definitely need advice here.
Headers I know would definitely be nice, but I am not gonna plan on them yet.
Big Dave,
That might be a great idea on the pics and help. Website, probably be a great idea. I know I am not the authority on what I am doing. But, maybe I can save someone some grief heartache and time if we do this. Definitely take you up on the offer.
If you do the steering rack, talk to someone about using the GTS rack instead of the 86 rack. Same thing with the PS pump. If you replace all of these (and they should be plug and play)then you should get the steering of a GTS. Be sure to make sure the rack is plug and play--I know the PS pump is (b/c I made that change).
Hmm. One of the big 3 would have to describe the difference. I just know that the rack makes the wheel "lighter" I've discussed the issue with Jim@ Devek a few times in regards to my changes to my car and he always pointed out that my car would not feel like a GTS unless I changed the rack too.
operates at higher pressure approx 1,400 psi rather than 1,000 as I recall makes the steering lighter.....IF used with the high pressure pump . For anything other than parallel parking it is a non event .
