4,5L Euro engine. Owner's guess is about 700hp! (He has not dynoed it). Sounds really really optimistic but judging by the IC and stand-alone he should be able to crank up the pressure on the 8,5:1 engine.
Says he is preparing a 4,7 liter to go in next.

I am thrilled to see such such enthusiasum and workmanship going into such an old old car. It looks great btw.It just shows how focused and dedicated the 928 school is.Just look at how many 928 people log on to there favorite board compared to the othe boards.

Looks great, neat installation.
about " bad mistake.. the transmission was destroyed..."
I do not see that small turbo producing enough power to destroy the transmission; certainly enough to burn out the clutch.

If gearbox was weak old G28/03 no wonder it was killed. Local chevy NA engined track car killed several and those were recently rebuild. Enough TQ and early box spills its guts out in no time at all.

Other than worse response time because of the greater volume after the turbo, is it really a problem to have such a big IC?

One of our Florida 928 owners is planning on a very similar install to that one. I highly doubt he will use an intercooler that large however.

There isn't really a downside to having too large of an intercooler. If you can fit it, go for it. I just meant he could have saved himself a bit of working running something considerably smaller that would have been easier to package.
My Audi is about 500 hp. The core I'm running is 17x14x3. It's bigger than what I need for that power level.
