I am a little bit confused about the engine speed sensor. Is it just another term for a flywheel sensor or crankshaft sensor? I can describe it. One end is a 3 point connector. On both sides it has 1 2 3 written on it for each of the wires. the other end is a small metal bracket. It looks like something goes in between the plastic part that is riveted to the bracket. The rubber part says 256 on it.The metal part says 0 232 101 005 BOSCH UH1. Also it says 147 and 050 on it.

Those are usually damaged when removed. They are the flywheel sensor.

Default update

the part that was broken is a Hall SENDER 87-95 . I started typing part numbers on Google and that name came up. Now is that is broken can that explain why the car did not start? So the name for the crankshaft sensor is Hall Sender? Some how I got approved for a platinum card "coming in the mail in a week". It has no interest for a year. I figured I will take care of the car not starting problem, water pump and timing belt, and transmission service maybe a paint job as well.
