Red face Update on airbox cover rubbers ( I was misinforming on previous post ! )

Hello all. In a previous post I submitted I posted some info that was not correct. I said I found air box rubbers that were identical to the factory part. If I am correct the air box uses four flat rubbers that loop over the top of the box and attach at the front and rear. My car had a different setup when I bought it and I assumed this was correct. When my cords broke I found a replacement that was identical to what was on the car when I got it. I thought I had made the find of the century when I was able to replace the broken rubbers for a total of $3.50. For those who are interested my replacement part, I am using passanger car tire chain tensioners. I know it sounds funky, but they work great. They are heavy duty, look good, and hold the cover on nice and tight. Sorry if I confused anyone who have read my previous post. Apparently I know just enough to be dangerous! I was going to try to include pics with my post but couldn't figure out how to add them.

Jim,

It would be great if you posted the pictures and part number. I tried checking the local part stores but we are too far south for them to carry these parts.

Hey Jim,

I would love to see pics of these, being that mine are in need of replacing at the moment. If you could email me the pics as well as some place I could purchase them online if you know of a place, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Dave
