Question Cam Bore Plugs

Its me again,

I forgot to add in my last post that I was surprised to find replacement cam bore plugs in the gasket kit I bought from 928Inter. Value added I guess because I didn't expect them to be part of the deal.
The question is:
Is that it? I mean do I now just get the old bore plugs out and replace them with these? Wally had mentioned in another post that these plugs were a replacements for old style o-ring arrangements. Is this accurate? Do they require any sealant of any sort or do they just go in and thats it?
Do the old ones or whtever is in there just fall out or do they need to be popped out somehow. Haven't touched these before so I would appreciate any BTDT help. Its an '85 32V

cheers
