I'm pretty sure that neither did we. All the chrome and polished rims were done either by the dealer or after it was sold to the owner.

Now that is interesting...I had always assumed that chromed slots for the US were an option....
Maybe its just associating US cars generally with chrome...like those bumpers front and rear on your 50s/60s cars that look like they weigh half a ton each lol

There was a gentleman at Rennsport Reunion that had polished the window trim on his 80. It really highlighted the window trim. Thats not such a good thing in my opinion but he seemed to like it.

Porsche went so far as issuing a tech bulletin stating that chroming the wheels was a NO , NO . Yet the U S market place could not understand dull finished wheels...
