Question Will a '80 AT shift handle fit my '85?

I have a chance to buy a used one and I'm not sure if it will work.

I bought one of those carbonfiber look T-handles from PepBoys. I think it was like 25.00. Looks great and fits perfectly.
I have had it on for a year now with no problems.

Buy the Jager Tip shifter! You enjoy your car a whole lot more. Bernie, I bought one of those Carbon "look" T-shifters, and was really disappointed with the look and feel of it. Was too big and just didn't go with the car. Anybody want it? I'll give it away, just so it not sitting around in my shop. Got it from 928 Intl.

Yea,
Not as sexy as a tip shifter I know, but it worked in a pinch.
I couldn't justify paying so much money for a shifter handle when so many other things on sharky needed to be addressed.

I accept all free parts. I just keep 'em around in case anyone in my local group needs 'em
I will send you my mailing address and take it from you......

Cheers
