Floppy headlights

Hi all, 'nother question for the amazing team - my headlights raise normally but when I turn them off they go down about 1/3 they way then fall the rest with a loud thump.
Any ideas, is there a damper somewhere I'm not seeing ?
Thanks
Paul

Hey something else I just fixed. I found that there is also a piece of plastic that is the push/pull connection inside the head light bucket. Looks like a white tapered rod about 5/16" dia. 3" long. This piece pushes int a cup just under the lamp. There is also a plastic ring that secures the connection.

Any update on resolving this problem?
Like Linus, my headlights retract with a frightening whack!! I always worry that the lights are going to break... Definitely does not seem to be the action I would expect from Porsche design.
And my low beam is aimed too low, but I don't want to adjust before replacing any plastic bushes (not Presidential type) in case I end up having to do it twice...
If I have to replace bushes, or whatever, where did people who faced this problem in the past source them from? Proceedure?
