Hello All,
I am planing on selling my shark within the next 6 months and going to an 86.5 or S4. What I was wondering is if there was a Euro model 86.5?
Basically a Euro model with the bigger brakes, wheels etc.

All Euro Models in 86 came with the brake upgrades. They used the leftovers from '85 for the US cars. Figured we wouldn't notice with our highway speedlimits.

I've got 2 car seats that fit perfectly in my 928. If you'd like to know the brand, let me know. I parked right outside the front door of a Toys-R-Us and had them bring each car seat out from their display until I found one that fit right....and then bought 2.

Hey Big Dave,
I would love to hear which seats you have. I actually bought the Brittix seat and it seems to fit O.K. but the belt does not hold it very well so I decided to use the optional restraints that are straps that go to a ring I had welded in on either side of the seat and with that and the strap that goes to the rear it seems to be very secure.

Big Dave,
Please let me know what brands they are. My girls are 3 and 2 years old. Broke her heart yesterday when she asked if we can go in the Porsche and I told her no because there is no kiddy seat. Even a 3-yr old prefers Porsche over minivan. Yeah, I'm raising her up right!

Although the base of the seat is wide in the front, the back of it is narrow, allowing it to fit into the narrow rear seat of a 928.
It's a 5-point harness. When I use it, I use the car's lap-belt through the back of child seat. The child seat has another strap with a hook that goes over the back of the seat and can be attached to the anchor right behind the seat back, under the "cargo" mat.
My 2 1/2 year old still uses it and he has room to grow. Funny thing is...he throws a tantrum whenever it's time to get out of the car...how can you get mad at this (taken last summer)??

Thanks Big Dave, I might just have to pick one up and move the Brittix to the Civic.
No way to get mad at those big eyes. Very cute future shark driver you got there.

There's really no way that I know of to make that lap belt tight, but it does grab hold under even light braking. The seat may move a half inch or so before the belt catches.
The child seat does, however, fit better into the available space than any of the others I tried. The harness at the top/back that I have anchored down keeps the top of the seat very snug.
As for the little guy, he wants to go for rides all the time. His older brother (5) runs outside and wants me to rev the engine when I get home from work.

Big Dave - I've got the same seat, it fits real well. The looseness of the inertia belts makes me nervous enough that I use a web ratchet strap through the holes in the kidseat frame and around the back of the rear seatback. I realize this is then relying on the rear seat latch for security, but it does lock the thing down so it doesn't wiggle as much as my 3yr old son. Now if I could just figure out how to keep his sticky little mitts of the leather....He just loves his rear seat sunvisor though.
