Post Track tire pressures for S4 with Yokohama A-032R ZR 17s

I'm preparing for my first track event with my "new" '89 S4 and have a set of Yokohama ADVAN - 032Rs "for sporty drive" according to the sidewalls . Anyone had track experience with these tires and can reccomend tire pressures? I will add that they are NOISY compared to my previous track tires (Comp TA - R1s on a 944 Turbo S). I am running 235/40 17 front, and 255/40 17 rear (unusual front size, but came with the wheels).
Thanks!

Scott,
This is the procedure that I used with my 85.5S to establish optimal tire pressures. For starters, pressures from one car won't necessarily work for another because of difference in tires and chassis setups. So what you waant to do is to make sure that you are running high enough pressures to maintain sidewall stiffness and not so high that you are running on the middle of the tread and not getting the full advantage of the whole tire patch.

I start out at around 36 pounds all around and go out and run a few laps to see if the car is oversteering or understeering. After pitting check to see if it looks like the tires are rolling over. The best way to optimize the tire patch is with a tire pyrometer which will alllow you to see that temps are even across the tire. Lacking that you could take chalk, scribe a line across the tread run a few laps and see if it all worn off.
In my case, I had to change rear camber to get even tire temps. I also tend to run higher pressures in the front despite the factory street pressure recommendations.
Hope this helps get you started.
