If your gonna put the body kit on leave the cheese grater off, and put some fatty slicks on the car, then supercharge it and then paint it and then give me the phone dials because I need them.

Hi Folks !

My name is Ketil, and I`m (fairly) new to this WONDERFUL place you call Rennlist. I`ve been reading A LOT of your posts the last month or so, and I`m amazed by the knowledge you have about Porshe`s flagship 928 !

I voted YES on the "Add Body Kit?" poll, BUT I totally agree that the Gemballa Kit does not look good on the S. However; Jacquemond`s Wide Aero Kit seems to work (better) with the original lines, and sort of amplify them. Here are som pic`s

What do you think ?

I think the 928 has a very subtle look and all of the proportions are right...... now some of you are going to say well you put on the gts quarterpanels, and then had them reworked.... and my response is that you have to look very close to see the differences when my car is parked next to a gts... something will look different but you can't quite put your finger on it..

The overall problem with most body kits is that they are overdone... why are they like this? well they have to justify the price.....
Have to agree with this. It's funny you should mention the sublety of the GTS design changes. Before I got my car, when I was reading up on all material I could find in magazine and the net, I knew I thought the GTS looked the most potent, but it took quite a while before I could put my finger on why

Ketil, that Jacquemond kit is definitely one of the better ones I've seen, especially from behind, but personally I'd still prefer an unchanged GTS (except for bigger wheels).

Cheers,
Erling

This particular body kit is ISO500+Hp I believe.
The NOS bottle should warn you not to mess with that ricemobile.

Ketil, that looks fantastic. How about some pictures from the side.

Comparing a kit'd 928 to a stock 928 is like comparing a chopper to the stock bike. What's the point?
The only meaningful comparison is one kit job to another, or one chopper to another.

Otherwise your just commenting on whether or not you like kits.

Personally, I love stock 928's and I love a well done Kit 928.

Do I see a quad exhaust on that kit. It looks like a few too many pipes. With the two spoilers and the 4 exhaust pipes in the same place it makes me feel like I am going crosseyed.

Building the body kit on my S4 was one of the most fun projects I have done with the car.

Not for the squeamish, but really, the hell with what anyone else thinks!

Cheers,
Michael

Georgeous Michael! I remember your thread on putting that front together. That car needs to be on the cover of a car mag.
