Sorry, but voted no. Never liked gills on cars; not even the 'originals' on the Testarossa, and definitely don't think they improve the 928's design either.
Without the door sections, it's better (less bad ), but still far prefer the original look.
Cheers,
Erling

first timer, my car is an 86 with a strosek nose clip, GTS arches at the rear and side skirts modified to fit from a vauxhaul. it has the rubbing strip removed as well as the rear spoiler and ive added an e-tech rear wing in alluminium. since the pic shown ive cut holes in the bonnet and added vents and also deleted the pop up lights. here is a pic from the uk 928 track day at castle combe. my friend alex aka cheburator is the tall guy standing next to the car and that is his z4m coupe in the background.

Don't do it. The flat section sill extensions make the midsection of the body heavy and the front spoiler is not really appropriate for the car. Dr. Nick's sill extensions look good as they are sculpted and don't add as much weight to the middle section.
Plus, you have one of the all time great designs (acknowledged by current styling execs--the 928 is Michael Mauer's and Peter Horbury's favorite), why muck it up?

Yeah, we're picky - but we also know that dents don't easily "pop" out of aluminum like they do steel.
Enjoy the car!

marc, cheers for the appreciation ive also got a nice original 79 so ive got the 928 field quite covered. i can definitely appreciate the desire to modify and i agree that the gemballa kit is (almost) equaly classic.

I don;t dig the double spoiler either but I love the front and rear covers. Blended in with some OTT flares and you'd have a sexy OB.
Oh is that a V8 or a pipe organ stickingout the back?
