Intake tubes dyno tested today.
Hi Gang just thought I would drop you all a quick note on my dyno testing. I'm developing my headers and custom exhaust so as part of that project I needed to get some reliable baseline figures to come off.
So out of interest I dynoed the car with and without the intake tubes. The car lost 5% of it's power without the tubes. In saying that the reading was taken with the tubes at 5460rpm with the tubes and at 5390 without the tubes. So there was a 50 rpm difference. Which wouldn't amount to much I wouldn't think.
The area I must question though is that the air intake temperature which is one of the monitored varients, read 24 celsius with the tubes on but only read 9 degrees with the tubes off. What is going on? Maybe because it is corrected hp the power was actually the same but because if the temp difference it was adjusted. All the best.

Just out of curiosity what did your car dyno out to. I have an 85 Euro and would like to see the results.
thanks
