Post LH serial for '84

Guys, I need help again.

What is the serial number of the 1984 LH brain?
Is it 928.618.123.00? Or its the ***.02?

And if I am not mistaken the 928.618.123.03 is for the 1985 right?

Thanks, '84 USA

My '84 Euro has a 928 618 124 00 brain. I don't know if yours should be the same.

As far as I can tell, the US Model Year 84 retained L-Jetronic injection, whereas the Rest of the World cars went to LH-Jetronic. Giovanni, I presume that you have a US-delivered car, and that it is a 16-valver?

According to the PCNA Parts and Tech Reference Catalog (also Devek and 928 International catalogs), the US 84 L-Jet brain is part (not serial) number 928 618 106 04. The Rest of the World (ie 4.7 litre 928S2) MY84 to **86** LH-Jet brain part no is 928 618 123 02.

The part number of the US MY85-86 five litre 32-valve engine's LH-Jetronic control unit is variously stated to be 928 618 123 DV (PCNA), 928 618 123 DX (Devek) or 928 618 123 04 (928 International). (Warning: check the current catalogs!) I *presume* that all these quote the latest part numbers for the application, so I *guess* that the 928 618 123 03 part number is a superseded brain for the MY85-86 32 valve engine. Without a lot of ressurance from someone whose technical expertise in 928s I trust, I wouldn't be planning to fit the brain from a 32-valve engine (with its fat torque curve) into a Euro 16 valver, and it simply is not an option for an L-Jetronic system.

The 928 618 124 00 control unit is the EZK ignition brain, not the LH-Jetronic one.
