Its confirmed
well its a goner. my mechanic did a leak down test on one cylinder and 40% blow by so he gave up on the rest. The car will be on Ebay Friday around noon If your interested for parts, project or what not. It basically needs engine, paint and back seats but you cant use them due to the roll bar.My ebay name is FORDDROPPED.I think starting at $3000.00 is fair for a supercharger kit that cost me over 6 and also fiberglass MOMO seats with up to date 5 point harnesses and also 17x7 and 17x9 cup rims stripped and repowder coated white with polished rims, And what ever else that i have reseats for.

These are the things I am interested in.
Wheels and Tires
OEM Seats
Front chin spoiler if pre 87
Dash
A/C Compressor
Exhaust (From Headers Back if aftermarket)
Speakers if not OEM
Tuner if Not OEM
Let me know when you can and we can cut a deal on some of these items.
If the price is right ???? - How Much for the WHOLE car.

Man that sucks.
Is it possible you were making much more boost than you should have with the first pulley before you put the boost gauge on? Maybe that immediately blew the ringlands so the car did not feel fast when you drove it (without the boost gauge). Then you put the gauge on and saw only ~4psi because the crushed lands. Maybe then second pulley didn't do much because the engine was already toast. I'm just kinda speculating from memory as to what may have happened.

Supercharging or Turbocharging a car is not a throw it on and nail it exercise.
You need to start with the basics and slowly work your way up to the completed project.
Start with the peripherals and work your way into the final tuning of the car.
Having a Dyno close by is a necessity I believe.
I have been working towards a supercharger setup for quite awhile now and I STILL haven't started yet.
There is so much to understand with regards to this process that the learning curve seems almost endless.
My goal is a non-intercooled Vortech setup giving about 5-6 psi.
If I ever get through that process, I may look into bumping it up with the aid of a intercooler.
Just some thoughts.....

GoRide,
The boost i was running on the first pulley was 5 pounds so i switched to a different pulley that got me to about 12 pounds and the problems started so i went back to my original pulley and the problem still happened. I took the SC off to what would happen and still same thing.I would say the 12 pounds of boost did the damage.
Tim,
I started off with 5 pounds of boost and didnt really notice much but than again i have a automatic.
Drewster,
the original dash was covered and the oem seats were replaced with fiberglass momo seats but send me your email address and i can send you pics. And also the tranny was replaced less than 8000 miles ago 3200 takes the car and i do have receipts for everything that was replaced

The 12 lbs of non-intercooled boost was most likeley just part of the problem. Lack of fuel and the resultant detonation is most likely what killed it.
