Well, I went and drove Ron's car. Half worn Yoko's are LOUD- constant whine at anything over 20mph. He's taking the Goodyears, so we're all good. Bob- the rims got refinished and they put the tires right back on. I drove around on the Goodyears from December to last week, about 1500 miles or so. Kept 'em nice 'n round for Ron!

Rob--
What are you driving on now? Polished/straight/round/true C2's? With new PS2's on them? Or the refinished CS wheels with the Avons?

Bob-
CS/Avons. They held up pretty well to getting slid around upon at El Toro. The tread blocks are pretty grainy but no chunking and not much wear. ( It was only about 15 miles of driving......) The CupI's are still at Al Reed's, I should probably hassle him about them. But now there's actually space in the garage to store them.

Just wanted to update this thread. I got the tires mounted that Rob so graciously sold me and they have cured 95% of my problems. The tire noise is so much less I now hear wind noise from the door :-) The following of the pavement was also related to the tires because it is gone also. These tires will allow me to keep what little sanity I have left for a while longer. A BIG thank you to Rob for bringing the tires to me and for helping a fellow rennlister out.

Hi Ron! ![ducking](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/icon107.gif)
I swear, once I have a garage I can work in again (Amy and I are busy sorting thru stuff, clearing it out) we will tackle your mounts... honest!
I'll let you know soon.
