Andy--

Look on a current thread for "Bob in SoCal", listing his 86.5 guards red with black for 5600 in Cypress. That's almost to Long Beach coming from where you are, in my old neighborhood. I haven't looked at it yet, but it sounds like a car that needs a good home. Selling due to expanding family he writes. Could be a find, and not too far from you (in the big picture).

I agree with Dr Bob check out the 86.5 It has a fresh T-belt from Greg Brown !! nice wheels, RMB, and chipped. Better brakes and suspension nearly 300 HP !

Andy-- PM me if you decide to go look at the car in Cypress. My parents live nearby, and depending on traffic it can be less than an hour drive for me. I'd like to see it just for grins. I'll bring another pair of objective eyes, along with a camera and a PPI form. Let me know what you think about it. It's a much nicer platform than the earlier OB's, especially with the good S4 brakes and suspension already installed from the factory. Promise me you won't ever use the "extra" 60-80 ponies. I like to see good cars stay in the family here.

I just got back from vacation last night. I don't think I'll get the chance to do anything this weekend since I have a lot to take care of over here. I will PM you when I make more time.

Deals like this have a habit of getting away while "life" busies you.

Let me know when you want to go and I'll make time to join you. Mght get in touch with Ctypress Bob in the meanwhile and go visit the car. I didn't recognize the street/alley where the picture was taken, though.

Perhaps the first post says it all..."I'm still in the process of gathering information" He is NOT ready to gather a car !
